How it Works

The Rinse Pimp is an innovative and practical spot-free rinse system that prevents water marks, streaks and filmy residue. The Rinse Pimp also prevents potential damage to paintwork caused by hand drying (dirt particles on the chamois or towel can be abrasive). The Rinse Pimp uses ion exchange technology. Ion exchange is one of the most effective water purification methods available. The Rinse Pimp removes minerals from the town’s water by passing it through a non-hazardous resin, producing a mineral free water to guarantee a spot-free finish on drying.

The resin has a certain capacity to remove minerals, and eventually the media will become exhausted, this is indicated in the original Rinse Pimp by the indicator resin colour changing from blue to orange (see below photographs) for the Rinse Pimp 2 and Rinse Pimp 20 this is indicated by a TDS meter reading in excess of 20ppm. The TDS meter is shown below and is supplied with both the Rinse Pimp 2 and the Rinse Pimp 20. To use the TDS meter you simply dip the TDS meter into a sample of the water and press the button. The Rinse Pimp unlike some other alternatives is refillable, so when the resin becomes exhausted you order replacement resin and change it yourself using our refill instructions. The Rinse Pimp is environmentally friendly and gives a low cost per rinse compared to other alternatives.
