Rinse Pimp 2 Refill Instructions

Resin exhaustion is indicated once the TDS meter reading reaches 20ppm or more. To use the TDS meter you simply dip the TDS meter into a sample of the water and press the button. Detailed instructions are included with the TDS meter, please read these instructions before use.

Step 1

Remove the top tap adapter complete with internal screen, and exchange for the alternative tap adapter provided that does not contain a screen.

Step 2

Connect a hose via the adaptor on the bottom of the Rinse Pimp, then connect the short piece of hose provided to the alternative adapter on the top of the Rinse Pimp and place the outlet of the hose into a bucket.

Step 3

Turn on the tap slowly and backwash the resin into the bucket (water will be a straw colour) wait for the water to run clear and then turn off the tap.

Step 4

Remove the hose from the top of the Rinse Pimp. Place the bucket underneath the Rinse Pimp then remove the hose from the bottom of the Rinse Pimp draining the water into the bucket.

Step 5

Remove the top tap adapter and place the funnel provided into the top of the Rinse Pimp. Pour the resin into the funnel, if the resin gets stuck in the funnel pour a small amount of water into the funnel to wash it through making sure the bucket is underneath to catch the water. Finally, replace the tap adapter with internal screen.

For best results and to extend the resin life we recommend the following:

• Do not use in conjunction with a pressure washer

• Keep flow rate to a minimum (we recommend about 2 litres per minute)

• Use water from the Rinse Pimp 2 sparingly, only use enough water to re-wet all surfaces starting at the top, working your way down the vehicle.

• Mount vertically and feed water from the top each time so that the water travels through the resin in the same direction.

• When a refill is required it is indicated by a TDS meter reading in excess of 20ppm. The TDS meter is shown below and is supplied with the Rinse Pimp 2.
